LNAT Dates. When should you take the LNAT 2024 – All About the LNAT – Part 2

In this part of the ‘All About the LNAT’ series, we will look at the important dates and timelines for taking the LNAT in 2024, for entry into various programs in 2025.

Remember, all the details in this article are indicative only. To ensure that you keep track of the most accurate and updated dates and details, check the official resources mentioned at the end of this article.

When you you take the LNAT in 2024?

Starting August 1, 2024, you can register and book LNAT tests for getting into college in September 2025. Tests begin on September 1, 2024.

You can take the test whenever there’s an open slot at the center you pick. Booking early gives you a better chance of getting your preferred date. There is usually a rush as the deadlines get closer.

It’s okay to take the LNAT before or after sending your UCAS application. (Check your university website for any specific details.)

Remember these dates for 2024–2025 LNAT cycle to enter college in Autumn 2025. Keep checking with your preferred colleges for updates.

Don’t take the LNAT before the 2024 summer break, as it won’t count for 2024/2025.

You can take the LNAT before or after you send off your UCAS application. (Ensure that you adhere to the college specific deadlines).

At a glance :

Cambridge and Oxford

• Register for LNAT between the 1st August 2024 to 15th September 2024
• Take the LNAT test after 1st September 2024, but on or before 15th October 2024
• UCAS registration will commence from mid September 2024
• Submit your UCAS form by the 15th October 2024
• You can take the LNAT before or after your UCAS application, but latest by 15th October 2024

London School of Economics LSE and Kings college London KCL

• Register for LNAT on or after the 1st August 2024
• Take the LNAT test after 1st September 2024, but on or before 31st December 2024
• Submit your UCAS form by the 31st December 2024
• You can take the LNAT before or after your UCAS application, but latest by 31st December 2024

University of Bristol and University of Durham

• Register for LNAT between the 1st August 2024 to 20th January 2025
• Take the LNAT test after 1st September 2024, but on or before 29th January 2025
• Submit your UCAS form by 6:00 pm UK time on the 29th January 2025
• You can take the LNAT before or after your UCAS application, but latest by 29th January 2025

University of Glasgow, UCL – Faculty of Laws and SOAS University of London

• Register for LNAT between the 1st August 2024 to 20th January 2025
• Take the LNAT test after 1st September 2024, but on or before 25th January 2025
• Submit your UCAS form by 6:00 pm UK time on the 29th January 2025
• You can take the LNAT before or after your UCAS application, but latest by 25th January 2025

Tips on dates for taking the LNAT in 2024

• Try to meet January deadlines if you’re not applying to Cambridge or Oxford.
• Enter your UCAS Personal Identifier number on your LNAT profile before sending UCAS application.
• Plan how to pay the test fee before booking. Use a major credit card, debit card, or LNAT e-voucher.
• You can only take LNAT once between September 1, 2024, and July 31, 2025. The second attempt will be void.
• If you reapply later, take LNAT again in that year.
• LNAT results can’t be used for the next academic year.
