LNAT Dates. When should you take the LNAT – All About the LNAT – Part 2

In this part of the ‘All About the LNAT’ series, we will look at the important dates and timelines for taking the LNAT in 2024, for entry into various programs in 2025.

Remember, all the details in this article are indicative only. To ensure that you keep track of the most accurate and updated dates and details, check the official resources mentioned at the end of this article.

Starting August 1, 2024, you can register and book LNAT tests for getting into college in September 2025. Tests begin on September 1, 2024.

You can take the test whenever there’s an open slot at the center you pick. Booking early gives you a better chance of getting your preferred date. There is usually a rush as the deadlines get closer.

It’s okay to take the LNAT before or after sending your UCAS application. (Check your university website for any specific details.)

Remember these dates for 2024–2025 LNAT cycle to enter college in Autumn 2025. Keep checking with your preferred colleges for updates.

Don’t take the LNAT before the 2024 summer break, as it won’t count for 2024/2025.

Important dates

• August 1, 2024: UCAS and LNAT registration starts
• September 1, 2024: LNAT testing starts
• Mid-September 2024: UCAS applications open

Deadlines for Cambridge and Oxford

Register and book LNAT between August 1 and September 15, 2024, to take it before or on October 16, 2024

Submit UCAS form and take LNAT by October 16, 2024

Deadlines for London School of Economics (LSE)

Take LNAT before or on December 31, 2024

Deadlines for other LNAT universities

Register and book LNAT before January 20, 2025

Submit UCAS form and take LNAT by January 25, 2025, 6:00 PM UK time

Late applications (mostly for international students)

Book LNAT before or on July 25, 2025

Submit UCAS form between January 16 and June 30, 2025

Take LNAT before or on July 31, 2025

Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) intakes

January 2025: Take LNAT between September 1, 2022, and July 31, 2024

January 2026: Take LNAT between September 1, 2024, and July 31, 2025

Tips on dates for taking the LNAT in 2024

• Try to meet January deadlines if you’re not applying to Cambridge or Oxford.
• Enter your UCAS Personal Identifier number on your LNAT profile before sending UCAS application.
• Plan how to pay the test fee before booking. Use a major credit card, debit card, or LNAT e-voucher.
• You can only take LNAT once between September 1, 2024, and July 31, 2025. The second attempt will be void.
• If you reapply later, take LNAT again in that year.
• LNAT results can’t be used for the next academic year.
