Missing an LNAT deadline means your UCAS application will likely be rejected immediately by LNAT-requiring universities. There are two primary deadlines you must be aware of, depending on where you are applying.
Oxford and Cambridge (Oxbridge) Deadlines
If you are applying to the University of Oxford or the University of Cambridge for Law, your deadlines are significantly earlier than standard applications.
- Registration Deadline: You must register and book your LNAT test slot by mid-September (typically around September 15th).
- Testing Deadline: You must sit the LNAT exam before mid-October (typically October 15th, which aligns with the Oxbridge UCAS deadline).
Standard University Deadlines (UCL, KCL, LSE, Bristol, Durham, etc.)
If you are not applying to Oxbridge, you have more time.
- Registration Deadline: You must book your test by mid-January (typically January 15th).
- Testing Deadline: You must sit the LNAT before the end of January (typically January 25th or 31st).
Always verify exact dates on the official LNAT consortium website as dates fluctuate slightly each calendar year.
