Can You Retake the LNAT in 2026?

Back to Home

No, you cannot retake the LNAT within the same admissions cycle.

The LNAT Consortium strictly prohibits candidates from sitting the exam more than once between September and July of the same academic year.

What Happens if You Take it Twice?

If you attempt to book and sit a second test within the same cycle, the results of your second attempt will be voided, and universities may be notified of your irregular test behavior.

When Can You Retake the LNAT?

You are only permitted to retake the LNAT if you are reapplying to university in the following academic admissions cycle (i.e., the next year). Your LNAT score is only valid for one academic year, so if you take a gap year and reapply, you must sit the LNAT again.

The Importance of Preparation

Because you only have one chance per year to take the LNAT, comprehensive preparation is essential.

LawMint provides 200 Full-Length LNAT Practice Tests for just £50. Taking timed, full-length simulations is the most effective way to ensure you maximize your score on your single attempt.
